Bellink - music for media

Although composers Piet Jan de Bel and Michiel Mullink have known each other for quite some time it wasn’t until 2021, when they did their first project together, they discovered that their difference in musical backgrounds and variety in musical skills really broadened their musical scope.
This led to some great sounding tracks and when they realised their names combined perfectly, the start of BELLINK music was a fact.

Because of our wide musical scope we are capable of producing many musical styles. Whether our music is intended for an advertisement, brand identity, documentary, film, game, online movie, etc., it has to make a statement, evoke emotions, reflect moods and/or underscore actions. Without losing our own signature style and character, we serve the needs of your project.

If you haven’t already done so check out our showreel above. It’s a mixture of past and more recent work to highlight some of our skills. It includes, among other things, original music we’ve made for Texels, IKEA, Google, SNS, New York Pizza, Albert Heijn, HEMA and Venco.

At six years old he began on the cello, but when he heard the electric guitar he immediately switched and soon after started to write his own songs. Already during his Conservatory years he was offered a job as a band leader for a TV talkshow and was asked to write bespoke music for other TV networks. As a guitarist he’s paid his dues on over 60 records and more than 350 commercials. The last few years he’s been asked as a ghost writer for some well known music production company’s and various artists, amongst them some famous DJ’s. But at the same time he’s known to occasionally hang out in New York to jam at local jazz clubs.

At the age of four he figured out how to play a children’s song on his father’s trombone. From a young age he played trumpet in orchestra’s and later on played bass guitar in several pop bands. Lately he honed his skills on the piano and as an orchestral percussionist. Studied Music Technology at the Utrecht School of Arts and has worked for about two decades at a who’s who of Dutch audio post production studio’s where he has cut his teeth creating audio and music for an infinite amount of commercials. He occasionally restores old percussion instruments and actually owns a vintage 4-piece timpani set.
